The initial ‘club forming meeting’ included 11 of the original charter members however, the club actually formed with 16 charter members, 10 of which still remain with the club. From those original members through word of mouth and ‘getting out’ there participating in local charity rides with such other notable local clubs as the High Rollers, Ironcrossmen, Marine Corps Riders and the Red Riderz, our club began to grow. |

Our journey has been very enjoyable to say the least. In addition to the many local, and not so local, charity rides our club members have participated in we’ve also traveled afar enjoying many miles together. Our club trips have included overnighters to Brianhead Utah via Zion and Bryce Canyons, Death Valley, Rachel & Ely Nevada, Yosemite National Park, Sturgis and the Victory National Meet in Billings MT. |

We frequently take day rides to Mt. Charleston, Pahrump, Valley of Fire, Mountain Springs, Nipton/Searchlight, Goodsprings, Oatman and Red Rock. We have also participated in the Southwest VMC Meet, held in Laughlin NV every year in February. Also, the Arizona “Rally in the Pines” , held in May in Williams AZ which includes a terrific ride along Route 66 and tours of Sedona, Jerome, and even the Grand Canyon. Both of these rides are Victory events but all bikes are welcome. |

Other rides include the annual V2V which is a coast to coast rally that travels along the old Victory Highway going from New York to California one year and back the other way the next. It involves many legs and our club ‘sponsors’ the leg between Sparks NV and Ely NV known as The Loneliest Highway. We’ve been known to take some individual trips and have members qualified for the Iron Butt honor and other members that travel across the States enjoying our beautiful nation the best way possible…. on a shiny, two wheeled machine with the wind in our faces and the sun on our backs. |

Nowadays, RideNow Powersports and A Team Motorcycles are the local dealers for Victory Motorcycles in Las Vegas. They have proven a great ally for our club. Assisting us in our endeavor to grow the club, by word of mouth to the new Victory owners patronizing their stores. They even host many of the Victory Challenge Tours, where the Victory Hauler sets up at their store and allows motorcycle riders an opportunity to share the joy we Victory riders already know .... Riding Victory motorcycles with great friends! |

Where did our bitchin' patch logo come from? |
| The Sin City Victory Riders logo was a collaborative effort on the
part of two of the chapter's charter members, Troy Miller and Burl Bolton.
Working together over a period of weeks, they came up with the traditional
Las Vegas logo and combined it with a WWII "Pin-up" girl. The colorful and
"eye-popping" logo was the result. It is one of the more unique VMC local
chapter logos and has garnered much attention and praise wherever and

Burl Bolton Burl is a retired U.S. Marine who served as an enlisted person, a warrant officer, and a commissioned officer from 1966 to 11406... hence his handle “usmcmustang.” He was one of the “founders” of Sin City Victory Riders and served as its first president. He is married to the beautiful and intelligent “Tiger Lily,” also a charter member of Sin City Victory Riders. They have two grown children, Carlos, also a member of Sin City Victory Riders, and Diana. |

Lily Gonzalez
Lily served in the Marines from 79-83, where she met Burl. Today she
and Burl ride Kingpins. They have ridden coast-to-coast and in Hawaii.
Lily writes articles for QuickThrottle Magazine, where her pseudo name, "Tiger
Lily" became popular. She has ridden in England and would like to see more
of Europe via motorcycle - but her main dream is to one day ride to
Argentina. |

| Making a move to Colorado, he ended up in a business deal in Las Vegas and received a Victory V92C as payment. Knowing nothing about the Victory brand he abused the Internet to eek out any information and problems with these bikes. He learned it was hit or miss if the V92C would experience transmission problems. Sorry to say the Purple with Yellow flames V92C had transmission problems. A rebuilt transmission, upgraded seats, and alternator made it a great around town and road trip bike. But, he wanted more fun and in September of 2006 he bought an Orange Hammer for around town. The Hammer was a great bike and all was good until an owner in Kansas City decided to sell a 2003 Classic Cruiser with the factory Turquoise over White retro looking paint. Off to KC Mike went to ride it back in March of 2007. The Purple V92C introduced Mike to a couple other Victory owners who were getting together with other Victory riders to start a club for Victory owners in Las Vegas. Since he was going to move to Las Vegas from the mountains of Colorado, he thought the club would be a good way to find people to ride with. He didn't know he would get as involved with the club as he has. He was equally surprised at the wonderful friends he made with the other club members. As Mike says "The Sin City Victory Riders are a fine bunch of distinct personalities and I wouldn't trade them for any other group out there" The V92C was sold and then in March 2008, the Vision was added to the garage. Three Victory's means he is certifiably nuts but, it also shows his faith in the product. His lovely mate Kathy made the garage count four with the addition of a Kingpin Low in November of 2008. |

Rob Zaliwski Rob is married, has three daughters and one grandson. Rob
retired from the USAF in 2007 after nearly 24 years of service. Currently
he owns a 2008 Victory Vision which is his third Victory (2003 Vegas, 2000
92C). |

Ron Hayward Ron was born riding. Almost. He began his love of motorcycles at age 6 riding mostly off road and race bikes and got into Motocross around the age of 12. He ‘graduated’ to street bikes at the age of 16 and began racing road bikes at 17. His first road bike was a Triumph Tiger and has ridden and owned many others including Harley Davidson, Suzuki, Yamaha and Kawasaki. He purchased his first Victory, a Kingpin, in May 2004 and has since also purchased a 2000 Victory SC, one of the original Victory models. He is proud to say he’s had the pleasure of riding every model Victory makes but, prefers his Kingpin. Ron’s career life has included 19 plus years in the Navy, both active and reserve, and served time in Desert Storm/Desert Shield. He has also been a Firefighter and is currently a Sheet Metal Worker in the Las Vegas area. He has one daughter and a step son. Ron managed to inspire a reluctant Donna to ride one night (it was her idea, but only came after some liquid courage) and has been her mentor ever since. See her story below. While Donna was still learning how to be a passenger on a two wheeled shiny machine, she and Ron met some other Victory riders interested in forming a club. After some meetings at the Rainbow Grill and then Donna’s home, the club was born. Ron serves as Ride Captain for many of our club rides and puts as many miles on his two bikes as he can |

Donna Dovel Donna was not born riding. To be honest, from the age of 17 she had pretty much sworn off motorcycles. It wasn’t until she met Ron Hayward that she began to get a spark of interest in those shiny two wheeled machines. One night, after a little liquid courage, she begged Ron to ‘take her for a ride’. After that ride things began to change. That ride, for the record, lasted all of about 10 minutes. Not long after she once more got up some courage, this time without any ‘liquid’ and asked Ron to take he for a longer ride. With Ron’s immense riding experience, she soon became a very comfortable passenger and learned to enjoy riding. They took many trips with her sitting on the back of his Kingpin. That is until the day she realized she could manage her own bike. She purchased her first bike, a 2001 Honda Shadow 750, in 2006 and has since upgraded to a Victory! Her life has been spent many places across the United States, living on both coasts, several places in between and even some time in Okinawa, Japan while serving in the United States Marine Corps. She has three children, two granddaughters and resides in Las Vegas, NV. She works for Marsh as an insurance broker handling high net worth clients mostly along the eastern seaboard. |

Mark has been riding since he was 14. He has been hit by cars twice, crashed into a boulder that jumped out in front of him, has been in a body cast, had his left leg turned around backwards (by the boulder), and still loves riding more than almost anything. Mark’s need for speed has faded with the passing years. He now enjoys
traveling at slower speeds allowing him to see what is on the side of the
road, not just the pavement. However, if you taunt him he will drag foot
boards around every corner and meet you at the next beer stop. His wife
Shauna on the other hand, still has a need for speed and sometimes
provides the taunting. Maybe that’s why they don’t have an intercom.

Leaning in the turns, bracing for full on brakes, and feeling the sun
on her back and the wind in her face, are some of her favorite thrills.
Shauna rides in all seasons but is not big on snow. She prefers not to
compete with deer for the highway, although a good game of “slap the deer
on the butt” does have some appeal. |

Tim Duck Tim, AKA ichi, is a wildland firefighter who lives in Lake
Havasu City Arizona with his wife Candace. Unable to ditch work to ride he
misses most club events but occasionally shows up unexpectedly to serve as
eye candy for the group. He plans to retire someday and ride fulltime.
